The dashboard along the top of the home screen leads to all of the Lutefish community’s main features.
Jam Sessions tab
Unquestionably, the most important part of Lutefish is the Jam Session tab, which opens your Jam Session calendar where you can schedule, find, and join jam sessions. See [jam sessions link] for more detail on creating and joining jam sessions.
Musicians tab
The Musicians tab leads you to the Musicians finder. Here, you can find and add your friends and bandmates and seek out new collaborators using the various search filters. You can also view your current connections and invitations from other members.
Search your friends by their Lutefish profile name or look for new connections, filtering by genre, city, distance, and even the instrument they play.
Gigs
Gigs are music classifieds posted by other Lutefish members looking for collaborators, session musicians, new band members, or just people to jam with. If you’re looking to fill a specific role in your project or seeking new opportunities, Gigs provides a more targeted approach, allowing you to quickly zero in on projects and members that match your needs.
Similar to the Musicians tab, you can use the filters to browse gigs that match your skills or search for a specific gig by name.
Once you find a gig you like, opening the post reveals all the details provided by the poster, including the date of the gig, instruments required, genre, and the payment, if applicable.
Apply for gigs with a message and, if you want, attach photos and/or audio samples.
Events
Use the events tab to find out about concerts, shows, and other events in your area. You can post your own events here, too.
